Shape Up: Geometry provides three kinds of games help you work on your shape skills. First, Identify helps you learn to recognize various kinds of shapes and shape properties. You pick out the shapes that match from a group and Shape Up tells you which ones you identified correctly, which ones were incorrect, and which ones you missed. You can take as much time as you need and review the definitions at any time.

Once you've gotten good at identifying the correct shapes and properties, you can sharpen your skills even further by playing the Catch game. Catch pops up various shapes on the screen one at a time and you catch only the ones that match as they go by. It starts out pretty slow, but don't be fooled. Every round speeds up just a little more so you'll have to really be on your toes to keep up! There are five color rounds for each level and six levels over all. Can you become a Shape Up master?

Transform is the last set of games and helps you learn to visualize what shapes look like when they slide or are flipped or rotated. You can work with just one shape to start or try to solve the system puzzles that are provided. When you're feeling really creative, you can create your own designs and turn them into puzzles for you and your friends to solve.

Identify and Catch

Learn to identify various types of triangles, quadrilaterals, pentagons, and hexagons. Recognize shape properties such as parallel lines, acute angles, right angles, and obtuse angles. Identify symmetric shapes and shapes that are similar or congruent. Review the definition of any shape type or property and see examples.

Create Designs

Learn to manipulate geometric shapes using slides, flips, and rotates. Create your own designs using various geometric shapes of different sizes and colors. Automatically convert your designs into puzzles.

Solve Puzzles

Solve any of the system puzzles provided with Shape Up or create your own from your designs. Track how many moves it takes to solve a puzzle and see if you can improve how many it takes. See if you can solve a single piece puzzle in the minimum number of moves required. Beam designs or puzzles out to your friends to see if they can solve them.
