How To Play
Poker Attack is a challenging timed game of re-arranging cards. The goal is to create the best 4 poker hands before the time runs out.
A hand is considered to be 5 cards in a row on the playing grid. Depending on the Level selected (see the Settings Help section), you are limited to the type of switches you can perform.
A round begins with cards (from a single deck) being dealt onto the 5x4 grid, face down. They are turned face up when the Start button is pressed. Switching cards consists of tapping on a first card, which is then inverted, then selecting a second card to switch with (Any-Switch and Adjacent-Switch Levels only). If playing the Slider Level, then columns and rows can be rotated by using the on screen arrows. Individual card switching is not allowed in the Slider Level.
When switching cards, graphics on the left side of the screen inform you of the type of the hand. The best possible scoring hand is always selected, if there are multiple type of hands. For example if a hand had both a Full House and a Pair, the Full House would be selected.
The round ends when either time has ran out, or the Done button is pressed. A total of 3 rounds are played. After 3 rounds, your score is totaled and determined if it makes it to that Levels Best Score List.
The game can be paused at any time by pressing the Pause button. To continue play, press the Resume button.
The score shown on the main screen is the total score for the rounds played already. The switches shown are for the current round only.
See the Scoring Descriptions Help section for details on the various types of Poker hands, and the respective scores. Also see the Settings Help section on information about other features of the program.
