Naum for Palm is a port of the PC version of Naum chess engine by Alexander Naumov. It should work on all Palm OS PDAs with Motorola 68K CPU.

Palm version is a direct port and is not optimized for Palm. It may not always play well, but it should challenge even the strong players.

It is also the only Palm program to play Fischer Random Chess (aka 960).

Opening book with over 8000 positions.
Ability to update existing or create your own opening book
Load or Save games using Memo Pad
Two board sizes (standard and full screen)
Two playing levels (fixed depth or time per move)
Ability to set custom colors for the board
'Permanent brain' option (engine can think on your time too)
Thinking output showing current depth in plies,
score, time, number of nodes searched and the best line
