Fret Board

FretBoard is a PalmOS reference tool for stringed instruments like Guitar, Bass, Banjo and many others. It displays notes, chords and scales on any instrument. Much better than the books which have collected dust on your shelves for years...

FretBoard supports 64 tunings and over 50 scales for several instruments.

With FretBoard you can

- display notes.

- display chords in every key (with one-touch access to chord spellings)

    - Major, Major 7th, Major 9th,
    - 6th, 7th, 9th, 11th, 13th, 6/9,
    - Minor, Minor 6th, Minor 7th, Minor 9th,
    - sus4, 7th sus4,
    - Dim, Dim 5th, 7th Dim 5th, 7th Dim 9th, 9th Dim 5th,
    - Aug, 7th Aug 5th, 7th Aug 9th,
    - Stacked fourths (quartic) and fifths (quintal).
    - a total of 56 chords in the database

- display scales and modes in every key

    - Major, Major Pentatonic,
    - Natural Minor, Minor Pentatonic, Harmonic Minor, Melodic Minor
    - Blues, Major Blues,
    - Diminished, Whole Tone,
    - Dorian, Phrygian, Lydian, Mixolydian, Aolian, Locrian.
    - a total of 53 scales in the database

- hear the selected note, scale or chord.

- add notes to a scale or chord by a simple tap.
  Many different note symbols are available.

- quit the application and the current view is saved as the default.

- orient the picture of the neck in whichever direction you prefer.

This software is free for you to use, distribute or copy as you wish, as long as you don't charge for it, and you don't get upset if it brings the whole world crashing down round your ears.
