Who we are
PalmDB is a catalog of digital applications for legacy Palm OS devices. PalmDB is run and operated by fans for fans of Palm handhelds and is not affiliated with the former Palm Computing company or its current property holders in any way. PalmDB exists solely for the purpose of preserving Palm OS and the work of its countless talented app developers, not for piracy or for profit.
Terms of Service
PalmDB hosts user-submitted content. All registered users in good standing may freely upload files related to Palm OS, including but not limited to apps, media, and other software. All third-party files must be uploaded in the intent of preservation only, not for piracy or personal gain. Uploading files unrelated to Palm OS is strictly forbidden, and any repeat or deliberate attempts to do so will result in a user ban. While PalmDB employs best efforts to moderate content for quality and relevancy control, PalmDB accepts no responsibility for user-submitted content found to be in violation of these terms.
Guarantees
Apps hosted on this site are considered Abandonware and are no longer officially supported in any way. PalmDB makes no guarantees that hosted apps will function as intended, and does not provide troubleshooting or customer support. PalmDB accepts no responsibility for any damages caused by content hosted on this site.
What personal data we collect and why we collect it
Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site, we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor's IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection. This data is required for posting comments.

This site uses Google Analytics tracking to provide anonymous information on how visitors use this site. Tracking data is stored in cookies, including but not limited to information on pages visited, time spent on the site, user browser agent string, and general geographic location. Who we share your data with

How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website, we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see and edit their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information. Once registered, user accounts cannot be deleted.
What rights you have over your data
If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
Where we send your data
Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
