Zdic is the most popular dictionary manager for PalmOS, from Chinese devs. It's compatible with all dictionaries for KDIC, more functions, works with multi-dictionaries . Can display three phonetic symbol formats without fonthack.

Version 2.60 is the last version released by osfans in the hi-pda forum that made ZDic able to open large encyclopedias several GBs big. It also added colors, hyperlinks and smart text entry. To accomplish this, the library SmartTextEngine was used. Not all palms had this library, though, some of them were the T5, TX, Lifedrive, Treo 650, Treo 680 and up.

To use ZDic v2.6 in other palm models the SmartTextEngine_T5.prc was needed but compatibility was not ensured.

ZDicFontTool.zip > tools. ZDicTool090110.zip > dictionaries.

Version 2.42 ensures compatibility with all palm models.
