This tool will update your Tungsten T5 from ROM v1.0 (Palm OS 5.4.5) to ROM v1.1 (Palm OS 5.4.8).

You will need approximately 16mb of free storage on your T5 to install this update. This update will erase / hard-reset your handheld! The installer will walk you through creating a backup of your handheld before installing the update, which will then be restored after the update is complete.

This update should not be installed on a Chinese-language T5.

To check if you need this update, perform the following steps:

1. On your handheld, launch the Memos application.
2. Create a new Memo.
3. Write the Graffiti Short Cut stroke, then period, then the number 9. A date will appear.
   • If the date is before Fri 06/03/2005 0, you do need the Tungsten T5 Update.
   • If the date is Fri 06/03/2005 0 or after, you don't need the Tungsten T5 Update.
