In this page you'll find a zip file containing all that the uploader managed to dredge up about Penbex OS that might be of use to most people curious about mostly-dead operating systems for DragonBall-based PDAs.

Before I forget, Penbex is Taiwan's "We have Palm OS at home". It's a pretty good bootleg, superior to Palm OS in some aspects, I'd dare say.

This upload includes: - The SDK, lifted from a device that is a barcode scanner/data terminal, built around a customized later version of the OS - there are device-specific extensions but it's hopefully still mostly useful to devices running an older build - such as the Penbex ROMs presently uploaded to PalmDB. To be used with Microsoft Visual C++ 6.0. - Some prebuilt apps in Chinese, and their corresponding source code - which one can attempt to build, with varying degrees of success, with the above SDK - The desktop, sync, and update tools for Penbex PDAs - sync doesn't work on modern Windows, complaining about a missing DLL (and not saying which) - Some tidbits of documentation and marketing blurb
