Palm Programming: The Developer's Guide (Companion CD)

Welcome to the "Palm Programming: The Developer's Guide" companion CD-ROM!

This CD includes a wide range of development tools for Windows, Mac, and Linux programmers, as well as source code for all the examples from the book. This is a hybrid CD that contains a Mac OS volume (readable on a Mac OS computer) and an ISO 9660 volume (readable on Windows or Linux).

Windows/Linux users will find on the CD:

Windows Directory: The main tools included for Windows programmers are: * Metrowerks Code Warrior Lite * Palm Computing's Software Development Kit, including the Palm OS Emulator (POSE) * The Win32 port of GCC * Pilotrc * A demonstration version of Puma Technologies' Satellite Forms

Windows programmers will find the source code to examples from the book in the directory Windows\sourcecode.

Compressed files for the Windows software can be found in "Windows\compressed files".

Linux Directory: The main tools included for Linux programmers are: * The Palm OS Emulator (POSE) * GCC for the Palm * Pilotrc, including a Java version * Miscellaneous libraries and utilities * Pilot Link, for transferring data and apps between Linux and a Palm device.

Linux programmers will find the source code to examples from the book in the directory linux\sourcecode.

Compressed files for the Linux software can be found in "linux\compressed files".

Mac users will find on the CD: The main tools included for Mac programmers are:
