2ch Meisakusen (2ch Masterpiece Selection) is an offline reader for Japanese message-board archives on classic Palm OS devices. It presents exactly one post at a time, so a thread reads more like a book than a continuous web page. Long posts scroll within the post before advancing.

Included Content

The reader download contains the Palm application and an original four-post sample database. The optional Builder download contains a self-contained Windows utility and its README. Neither package contains archived 2ch/5ch posts, downloaded web pages, source caches, curated third-party work metadata, or third-party eBook content.

Personal Library Builder (Windows)

The optional content-free Builder makes personal book PDBs from material the user is entitled to copy:

• Imports saved 2ch/5ch DAT, supported archived-thread HTML, UTF-8/CP932 text, and canonical JSON
• Combines multiple threads or chapters in the order selected by the user
• Preserves one Palm record per post
• Performs strict CP932 conversion and re-validates every record and CRC-32 checksum
• Records source format, encoding, and SHA-256 without putting story text in the provenance report
• Passes generated PDBs to Palm Install Tool's install queue when available

URL import fetches only exact pages entered by the user, sequentially and with a validated cache. It does not crawl links, sign in, solve CAPTCHAs, or bypass access controls. Direct fetching from 2ch/5ch and AtWiki is disabled until source permission is confirmed; locally saved HTML or DAT can be imported instead.

The Builder has no upload or sharing feature. Generated PDBs and caches remain in the user's chosen local folder. The freeware EXE is not digitally signed, so Windows SmartScreen may show an unknown-publisher warning.

Installation

Palm reader

1. Extract TwoChMeisakusen_0.1.2_PalmDB.zip.
2. Install TwoChMeisakusen_0.1.2_JP.prc with Palm Desktop/HotSync or an equivalent installer.
3. Install TwoChSample.pdb in the same way.
4. Start 2ch Meisakusen and select the sample book.

Windows Builder (optional)

1. Extract TwoChLibraryBuilder_0.1.0_Windows.zip.
2. Start TwoChLibraryBuilder_0.1.0.exe.
3. Add locally saved source files, arrange their reading order, and build a PDB.
4. Add the generated PDB to Palm Install Tool or install it manually.

Requirements

• Palm OS 3.5 or later
• 160 x 160 display
• Japanese-capable Palm OS or a Japanese font environment for Japanese books and interface text
• Windows 10 or later for the optional packaged Builder

Book Databases

Compatible book PDBs can be installed separately. Only install material you are entitled to copy and use. A private copy is not automatically licensed for redistribution; do not upload or share generated book databases without the necessary rights and source permissions.
