Astromist 3.0.1 Palm Installation instruction:

1) PRE-REQUISITES
A palm color device with at least 256 colors.
Palm OS compatible device with Palm OS 4.1 or Greater. OS 5.x is recommend.
2.8MB of free RAM on the Palm and 700MB available on a high speed memory card (9MB/S read rate) for the full version,
160x160 up to 320x480 screen resolution (portrait or landscape) supported, 
Best devices: Treo680 and 650, Palm Tx, T5, LifeDrive.

Documentation is available at http://www.astromist.com/documents/astromist_26_user_guide.pdf in the support section of the site.
Feel free to read it carefully. In the installation section, several picture might help you during the installation

Here are the links for download of the full catalogs and files available only to registered users. So please don't forward this information to anybody:
FULL VERSION
First download http://www.astromist.com/palm_30/astromist_30_palm.zip (51MB), the full version.
Then unzip it.


INSTALLATION
You can use WinZip on Windows, Stuffit on Mac OSX or unzip on Linux to extract the files in place
('Extract to Here' winzip option with a right click on the file) using the password provided above (use copy/paste to avoid multiple input).
Once done you should have the following directory tree inside your download folder:
Astromist
|__ data
   |__ contains all of Astromist's databases/catalogs
|__ img
   |__ contains the folders with the jpeg images of Abel, Constellation, IC, NGC, Messier, Planets and all other objects (misc)
|__ map
   |__ contains jpeg images of maps used into the 3D simulator. Color and grey map are provided. Color map are proposed by default.
|__ mars
   |__ contains jpeg images of Mars features
|__ moon
   |__contains high resolution jpeg images of the moon
|__ small_moon
   |__contains low resolution jpeg images of the moon
|__ usercatologs
   |__contains your user catalogs. Three are provided as example.
|__ astromist_300_palm.prc

Now the complete Astromist directory tree must be copied to an SD memory card..
PLEASE USE a simple Drag&Drop of the Astromist directory between your computer and your memory card reader. Nothing else.
Once done, hotsync the astromist_300_palm.prc to your Palm OS device.
The installation is now over.

Note: If you do not have a memory card and want to install Astromist into your Palm memory, please refer to the Astromist documentation provided from the astromist site ( http://www.astromist.com ).

ASTROMIST PC TOOLS:
These tools must remains on your computer. There are mandatory to update the comet and earth satellite database in a regular manner.
Please refer to the documentation to use them.
Beware each end of year, some of the name of the links to upload data from internet may change.

REGISTRATION INFORMATON
Once installed, to register launch Astromist and enter any information into the registration screen.
Once done press Ok and the Free Version message should no longer be displayed on the Wizard screen.

BLUETOOTH SUPPORT 
Bluetooth support has been tested with cost effective solutions. 
Hardware solution are based on:
