McColors is used to display all colors available on a Palm OS device.

I. Installation

Installation of McColors is just like any other Palm OS program.

II. System Requirements

Requires Palm OS 3.5 or greater. 36 Kbytes of free memory on the Palm OS device is required.

IV. Usage

McColors will come will come up in the best screen mode that your Palm OS device will allow.

Tap on the color to get the index and red, green, and blue values. Select the video mode from the pull-down menu on the upper right of the screen. You can also select the video mode by pressing the page up or page down keys, or by using the jog dial if your device has one.

If your device is capable of displaying 16-bit color, then a special mode called "McPlaid" will be available. This mode will display a random plaid-type pattern every second. "Fast McPlaid" will display a random plaid-type pattern as fast as your Palm OS device will allow.

In order to permanently change the color depth of your device, Screen Prefs needs to be installed. Go to MikeMcCollister.com/palm/ to download a copy.
