McColors is used to display all colors available on a
Palm OS device.

Installation of McColors is just like any other Palm OS
program.
Requires Palm OS 3.5 or greater. 36 Kbytes of free memory on the Palm
OS device is required.

McColors will come will come up in the best screen mode
that your Palm OS device will allow.
Tap on the color to get the index and red, green, and blue
values. Select the video mode from the pull-down menu on the
upper right of the screen. You can also select the video mode
by pressing the page up or page down keys, or by using the jog dial if
your device has one.
If your device is capable of displaying 16-bit color, then a special mode
called "McPlaid" will be available. This mode will display a
random plaid-type pattern every second. "Fast McPlaid" will
display a random plaid-type pattern as fast as your Palm OS device will
allow.
In order to permanently change the color depth of your device,
Screen Prefs needs to be installed. Go to

- Made some minor bug fixes.

- On a Palm OS Cobalt (Version 6) device, the icon in the about box no
longer has bad transparency if color depth is 8-bit or less.
- On a Palm OS device with screens capable of displaying in 16-bits or
better McColors will no longer switch screen depths between
different modes.
- Fixed cosmetic problem with some Palm OS devices when the graffiti
area is minimized.
- Changed support e-mail address.

- Now handles the PalmSource collapsible graffiti area and the Sony
virtual graffiti area.
- Added the "Fast McPlaid" mode which will display a random
plaid-type pattern as fast as your Palm OS device will allow.

is configured as an application.
- On Palm OS 5 devices the screen is no longer grayscale or black and
white mode. It will remain in 256 color mode when those screen depths are
selected.
- Removed the color HandEra icons since there will never be such a
device.

- When McColors is assigned to a hardware button, pressing the
hardware button multiple times will change the screen mode.

upon the 16 grayscale (4-bit) small icons.

the color picker being sent a bad index in a rare case.

McColors in put into the "Utilities" category of the built-in
launcher.
- Added support for changing screen modes using the page up and
page down keys. Also the Sony and HandEra jog dials do this as well.

- Includes support for minimizing/maximizing of the Virtual
Silkscreen.
