How To Play
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

MAIN MENU

1. Quick Play
--------------------------------
Here you can compete against either a human opponent or the Palm device, or 
watch two Palm-rivals competing against each other. 

Quick Play Settings:
a. Game - choose one of the game modes in which you want to compete. 
b. Player 1 - Human or Palm.
c. Skill level - select one of the six opponent levels (available only if you 
   have chosen Palm-opponent) 
d. Player 2 - Human or Palm.
e. Match length - choose your match length here. Each game can consist of 
   several matches, the results of which define the winner. 
f. Location - game place. Garage (green cloth), Bar (blue cloth) or Club 
   (red cloth).

2. Career Play
--------------------------------
Here you can launch your career and play against other opponents for money. 

Career Play Settings:
a. Game - choose one of the game modes in which you want to compete.
b. Skill level - select one of the six opponent levels (available only if you 
   have chosen Palm-opponent). 
c. Match length - choose your match length here. Each game can consist of 
   several matches, the results of which define the winner.

Next, choose your opponent, who asks you to make a stake. When playing in 
Career mode, new locations and opponents will appear as you progress. If 
you have insufficient money for a stake, the game ends and you have to start 
your career from the beginning.  

3. Tournament
--------------------------------
You'll have to contend in a quarterfinal, a semi-final and a final match for 
the Golden Cup.  

Tournament Settings:
d. Game - choose one of the game modes in which you want to compete.
e. Skill level - select one of the six opponent levels (available only if 
   you have chosen Palm-opponent).
f. Match length - choose your match length here. Each game can consist of 
   several matches, the results of which define the winner.

4. Practice
--------------------------------
Here you can practice controlling the cue stick and setting up and making shots. 
All shots are accepted; no game rules prevail in Practice mode. 

5. Statistics
--------------------------------
All of the player's game results against the Palm-opponent in Quick Play mode 
are registered in the statistics table, which you can view on this screen.

6. Settings
--------------------------------
Game Settings 

Graphics Settings:
a. Shadows - ball shadows (disable for better processing).
b. Rotations - ball rotations.
c. Anti-aliased - anti-aliasing of the balls.

Visualization:
Trace: None - cue ball trace is not displayed.
Trace: Trace - only the initial (to the first hit) cue ball trace is displayed.
Trace: First Track - initial cue ball trace is displayed, as well as the trace 
of the fist ball hit by the cue ball.
 
Sound Settings:
Music - music track volume (if available).
Sounds - game sounds volume.

Sound Track (available if there are music tracks present and music is 
supported by the device). 
Track: One of the three installed melodies.

GAME INTERFACE.

1. In the top game bar you can view:
--------------------------------

a. Game mode.
b. Balls hit into the pockets (in order from right to left).
c. Player's move (not displayed in Practice mode).

2. In the bottom game bar you can view: 
--------------------------------
a. Cue stick control icons: 
- Cue turning arrows, which adjust the aiming of the ball to the left or right.
- Dot on the ball, which points to the spot where the cue stick should hit the 
  cue ball, in order to give it back spin, side spin or top spin.
- Color scale, which displays the hit strength of the cue stick hitting the 
  cue ball.

b. Subsidiary icons:
- Hand icon (available when the player is allowed to set the cue ball "by 
  hand") - Clicking this icon transfers the player to the "setting cue ball" 
  mode. 
  A second click on the icon disables the "setting cue ball" mode. 
- "R" icon  - Replay. Replays the last shot. 
- Spanner icon - Menu selection.

c. Game Info (not displayed in Practice mode).
-  Information about the player who is to make the shot is marked in white. 
- On the left side of the player's name you can view the player's group of 
  balls (for 8-ball game) or the ball that the cue ball should hit (for 
  9-ball game).
- In the Score column, a player's points are displayed (for 8-ball and Pyramid games).
- In the Wins column, you can see the number of the matches won by the player 
  in the current game.

d. "Shoot" button performs a shot on the cue ball according to the settings 
   made by the player. 

3. In the center of the screen you can see:

The billiard table, with balls, and a cue stick (when a player is setting up 
or making a shot). 

5-WAY NAVIGATOR CONTROLS.

The game supports using the 5-way navigator as the controller. Left-Right 
buttons are used for cue rotation, up-down buttons control the hit strength, 
and the "select" button performs the shot on the cue ball according to the 
player's settings.  
In the dialogues during the game, the "select" button is used, by default, as 
the dialogue button. 

GAME MENU
The game menu can be viewed by pressing the hardware Menu-button or clicking the 
spanner icon in the bottom game bar. 

Options Menu:
1. Resume game - continue the current game.
2. Settings - proceed to the settings screen without canceling the current game.
3. Help - proceed to the help screen without canceling the current game.
4. Quit match - quit the current game and enter the main menu.
5. Exit game - exit the game without canceling the current game.

Registering Online

you register the software you'll receive a code which will unlock the software 
and remain valid for future upgrades.
