Please review this document before installing the product for the first time. What IrSquirt Does: Palm IrSquirt is an application intended to enable PalmOS PDA users to 'Beam' files via infrared to and from PocketPC based PDAs not equipped with the OBEX stack, including pre-PocketPC 2002 devices. How IrSquirt Works: To activate IrSquirt, tap the check box on the bottom right side of the main form. IrSquirt will override Exchange Manager (PalmOS's native IR beaming), and allow users to send records from other applications using the applications' own "Beam" feature. Tap the "IrSquirt Rcv" button to receive files. List of Files: IrSquirt.prc The main application file. IrSquirtLib.prc This is a shared library file that is loaded by the main app to enable IrSquirt communication. ReadMe.txt This file. Additional Information: Both IrSquirt.prc and IrSquirtLib.prc must be installed in order for this application to work. The application lists in the Launcher's "Beam" and "Delete" features will display the application and shared library separately. The IrSquirtLib shared library will not load if the IR port is in use. Palm IrSquirt will only send and receive records of applications registered with Exchange Manager. Known Issues: When using Palm IrSquirt to beam files to and from a Compaq Aero with the MIPS processor, it will be difficult to establish an IR connection if the handhelds are placed too close to each other. Pocket PC 2000 PDAs appear to have difficulty beaming large .JPG files. It will be unlikely for an PPC->Palm IrSquirt transmission of a 90K+ JPG file to complete.
