------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Forget Easter? Feel alone in this foreign airport? Why nobody's there? With
DaysOff, you will know why!

DaysOff computes legal holidays for several countries (Austria, Belgium, Canada,
France, USA, Mexico, Brazil, etc...). Computation is available for any
year, until 2031. DaysOff can also import the computed dates into the Pilot
DateBook. Country data is stored in separate database files, so you can add
new countries as they become available.

DaysOff is a shareware. To use the registered version, you need a
registration code. You can register for 7 Euros at www.atc-info.com.
By registering, you obtain the right to use DaysOff registered version,
and an automatic and free registration for all the upcoming versions.

DaysOff demo version is freeware.

Any version of DaysOff may be distributed as long as this file is included
unmodified. In using this software, you understand and agree that this

(including without limitation, damages for loss of critical data, loss of
profits, interruption of business and the like) arising out of the use or
inability to use this software.

There is no warranty that the dates computed by DaysOff are legal holidays
in the given country.

This software may not be sold to anyone without the author's agreement.

The software belongs to ATC Info company. Some lines of DaysOff code are
derived from DateBook C code (Copyright 1995 - 1998, 3Com Corporation or

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
DIFFERENCES BETWEEN REGISTERED AND DEMO VERSION
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The demo version of DaysOff is freeware. With it, you can test DaysOff, its
functionalities, and the days computed from DaysOff databases for each
available country.

Demo version limitations are:
 - insertion in the DateBook is limited to the first day off of the selected
   country.
 - Datebook checking is limited to the first day off of the selected country.

The registered version needs a registration code. Using the registered
version with a wrong code will give unpredictable results in days off
computation. The registered version imports all the days off in the palm
pilot DateBook.

Registration is available at www.atc-info.com for 7 Euros. By registering,
you obtain the right to use DaysOff registered version, and an automatic
and free registration for all the upcoming versions.

Country databases can be used freely with any version of DaysOff (registered
or demo).

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
                                   INSTALLATION
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Install any version of DaysOff programm like any other PRC file. Demo and
registered version shall not be installed at the same time.

DaysOff needs databases files to work properly (one per country). Those
files are named DOXXX.pdb, where XXX is the abbreviation of the country
(F for France, USA for United States of America, etc...). Those files may
be installed like any other pilot database file.

Removing DaysOff from your pilot will remove all the country databases at
the same time.

                                    FAQ
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Questions:

 1. Can DaysOff 3.0 remove DateBook entries from previous versions of
    DaysOff ?
 2. Can I modify database files ?
 3. Where can I find an up-to-date list of available country databases ?
 4. Do you certify the days off dates you give ?
 5. How to delete a country database ?
 6. Can I insert two distinct country days off with one single operation ?
 7. What is the language chosen for days off labeling in DateBook ?
 8. What kind of DateBook DaysOff does support ?
 9. Does DaysOff work with PalmOS 1.0 ?
10. What is the DateBook Inspection feature ?
11. When inspecting DateBook, sometimes the datebook opens at the right
date, but not the correct year. Why ?

Answers:

 1. Q: Can DaysOff 3.0 remove DateBook entries from previous versions of
       DaysOff ?
    A: No. Sorry.

 2. Q: Can I modify database files ?
A: No. Perhaps we will write an other program for that.

 3. Q: Where can I find an up-to-date list of available country databases ?
A: This list is often subject to changes (new countries, new translations,
correction of days definition, etc....) often. Find the last version
       at www.atc-info.com

 4. Q: Do you certify the days off dates you give ?
A: No. We try to be as exact as we can, but it's complicated: some days
are off only in certain states, etc... Comments are welcome, and
dedicated database can be made. Check the last version of database
       contents at www.atc-info.com

 5. Q: How to delete a country database ?
A: Use the "Remove Country" menu command after selection of the country
       you want to remove.

 6. Q: Can I insert two distinct country days off with one single operation ?
A: No, one country at a time. Several years at a time is OK, though.

 7. Q: What is the language chosen for days off labeling in DateBook ?
A: The labeling in the DateBook is done with the language currently
       selected.

 8. Q: What kind of DateBook DaysOff does support ?
A: DaysOff can only insert (and remove) entry in native Palm Pilot
DateBook, and also in Dabebook 3. Datebook 3 enhanced features (event
       category) are not yet supported.

 9. Q: Does DaysOff work with PalmOS 1.0 ?
A: No. At least PalmOS 2.0 is needed.

10. Q: What is the DateBook Inspection feature ?
A: By setting the correct option (Setup menu command), DaysOff can check
the Palm DateBook at any of the displayed day off dates. If the
DateBook contains an event at this date, a diamond is drawn in front of
the day off label. By tapping the diamond, you can jump to the datebook
to inspect this event. An option allows you to go back to DaysOff
       after a fixed inspection time.
In the demo version, only the first day off of the selected country is
       checked.

11. Q: When inspecting DateBook, sometimes the datebook opens at the right
date, but not the correct year. Why ?
A: This only happens when at day off date the DateBook only contains
repeatable events. In Palm DateBook database structure, repeatable
events are stored only once (at the first occurence of the event).
It is not possible to directly open the DateBook and to access a
different event occurence than the first one.
